Students and Discipline - Short Speech / Essay

STUDENTS AND DISCIPLINE

Discipline is the backbone of the universe. The dictionary defines discipline as, "the practice of training people to obey rules or a code of behavior, using punishment." I define discipline as, 'the uniform, yet creative way of learning or practicing things.' Discipline creates a healthy environment, full of peace and order. It applies in all aspects of life. So, whoever or whatever in this world requires discipline to bring the most out of them.  Since, 'A child is the father of a man.'; discipline is the outcome of one's student life.

Student's life is the golden period of human life. And, students are the luckiest person alive in this world because they get a chance to encounter so many new things. These can grow them positively. But, sometimes this generates curiosity and misunderstanding that can lead to problems. However, students are being taught about ethics, etiquette, and moral by their influencers and guardians that guide them in the right path. All these life lessons that helps students in each and every part of their life are part of discipline.

Discipline is to be followed everywhere. Students spend most of their time in schools and playground rather than their home. We know, school is a community whereas playground is a public place. There are certain rules to be followed in these places. These rules bind students in a uniform environment. As students learn to adapt in these environment, they get grown up and understand their duties and responsibilities which then goes hand by hand with discipline.

Success is impossible to achieve without self-discipline. Students are tomorrow's citizen. They are the ones who will guide the nation and pave the way for the upcoming generation. Our world is dynamic and suffers change every other day. It becomes really necessary for everyone to adapt in this changing situation. Discipline helps everyone to adapt in a particular situation following the existing norms, values and rules.

Discipline can be learnt at any stage of life. But, students life is the stage of cultivating the habits in a human. It is because, "Habit is a shirt made up of metal." It is difficult to change one's habit when they've been grown up. Students are at the stage of forming habits and haven't been mature yet. So, it becomes necessary to cultivate proper discipline in the students of today.

Education Enlightens People with Wisdom

138 Words Education Enlightens People with Wisdom The only fact that separates a man from animals is education. It is a general sense of awareness that a person uses to distinguish between right and wrong, good and bad. Often, education is said to be the third eye of an individual. While the two eyes help us to see the world, this third eye which can be obtained from educational institutions like schools, colleges, etc. formally, enlightens us with intellectual ability to observe and perceive the world. Wisdom, is another name for education that is generally gained by informal ways as the formal ones hugely focus on grades rather than morality. A person, who imparts knowledge regarding ethics, behavior, and right acts, and implements them in daily life, is said to be a wise one. Lord Buddha and Mahatma Gandhi are the best examples of it.
