No SEE Examination? Here's how these facebook pages are misleading you!

Along with the second wave of Coronavirus pandemic in Nepal, various misleading articles, news, and media have been diverting the students, making them believe that the Secondary Education Examination (S.E.E.) will be cancelled this year, too. Instead of motivating the students to focus on readings, writings, and other recreational or creative activities, these media have been influencing them to support in an irrational campaign - Say No To SEE.

No one, be it a teacher or a student, shall engage in such campaigns unless the media have been providing partial news or updates, that only cover the words of a particular topic and leaves the rest one.

For example: a person A said, "We will conduct the SEE when the condition gets back to normal." And person B suggested that the SEE should be cancelled. These media won't cover what person A said but will immediately report what the person B said. In such a condition, where the youths of the country fear from examination; will they prove to become an entrepreneur and support the country's development in future?

Being a student of 10, Anil may or may not have the board examination this year but at least, he has never shared '#saynotosee' anywhere. And, it is well known that there are thousands of students like him. But, rumours take less time to spread. They even defeat the belief system of a person. So, such media spreading single-sided information should be stopped.

Here is a clear example what I mean to say:

Have a look at these two pictures:

The same page which came to existence on January 7, 2021 writes, "We had cancelled the SEE examination of the previous year." But, I want to draw your attention to a fact that the SEE of previous year was accomplished during 2020 and the page came into being in 2021. Now, do you think these pages are sharing legit information? There are numerous other pages like this which are distracting the students, killing their precious time, and destroying the future of the students.

You will argue in a fact - If SEE will be conducted physically, who will be taking the responsibility of the students health?

I would say - "Read. The knowledge you will receive won't fade away. It will remain with you and will definitely be useful when you move into higher classes. SEE, the government will definitely consider the present situation and act accordingly. Please Don't overthink."

SAT: Self-Preparation or Institute?

The Scholarship Aptitude Test (SAT), organized by the College Board, is a foundational stone in college application for Undergraduate Studies, especially in the United States. For many, the SAT could be a differentiating factor between a successful admission cycle and an unsuccessful one. Moreover, several universities offer scholarships to incoming undergraduate freshman based on their SAT scores. How does an SAT look like? An SAT test, now digital, comprises   questions from English and Mathematics. In a nutshell, it is divided into two sections: English Based Reading and Writing (abbreviated as EBRW) and Mathematics. Each section is worth 800 points, making the test worth 1600 points. How to prepare for the SAT? Let us delve into this question section-wise. English Based Reading and Writing (EBRW) For international students who are not native English speakers, this section could be challenging. In everyday communication, these students often believe in "go with the option that ...

An Incubate-eeeeeee

Getting accepted into Incubate Nepal Before I begin, let me ask you, “Did you know that I was accepted to the cohort of Incubate Nepal 2023?”. Most of you would say, “No!”; leaving a few who had messaged me to learn about my application status. Everyone knows this still, I am emphasizing it, “The public does not know your achievements unless you share them.” What conclusion can you draw from this? Well, if you want to keep something private, just don’t share it on social media. That’s all! Moral lessons apart, how would you react if your application was reviewed by a Harvard alumnus and received a mail stating that you have been shortlisted for the interview process? Awesome? Would you jump out of excitement? It’s totally normal to get overwhelmed in these situations, isn’t it? So, I consider myself abnormal. I didn’t react much to hearing the decision. Perhaps, it could be because the decision was sent in the morning and not at midnight. Had it ...
